What is High/Scope?
A quality approach to children’s learning that is widely used in the UK by over 20,000 practitioners.
VKG is one of only a handful of nurseries in Lincolnshire to follow this approach. By promoting active learning each child is allowed to develop at their own individual pace. They are encouraged to use activates that develop their natural innate curiosity, to extend their own experiences of the world, and the people, places and objects in it.
The High/Scope Foundation have recently completed a 30 year study of the approach and have found that children benefiting from this start in life go on to become confident and successful in later life not just in careers but in personal relationships.
The Village Kindergarten is shortly to begin the process for full High/Scope accreditation.
